Collecting and Identifying Bugs and other Creepy Things
The students collected insects, spiders, etc. in the greenhouse and garden.  We then move to the lab to identify what was collected and learned if they were harmful or beneficial.

Exploring the World of Weird Plants
The students the world of weird plants.  And learned how and why that "weirdness" gave the plant a survival advantage in nature.

Raji checks out Living Rocks.

The class feels the rhizomes of the Rabbit's Foot Fern.

Andrew holds an resurrection Fern opeining, and Nathanael holds a dry fern.

The students compare the smell of Scented Geraniums

Marki triggers Sensitive Plants to close their leaves.

Megan trips the trap on a Venus Fly Trap and learns that you have to touch the trigger hairs twice.

Alex and Andrew are caught by the Strangler Fig.

Marki and Raji are being strangled also.
